David Brussat, the architectural critic from Providence, has written a lovely post on his blog, Architecture Here and There about the Private Chapel Project. David has sat on the Board of the New England Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and he is a former member of the Editorial Board of The Providence Journal.
Architecture Here and There Eric Inman Daum, Architect, is pleased to announce that the firm has received a 2019 Bulfinch Award from the Institute of Classical Architecture, New England Chapter, in the Ecclesiastic Category for its design for a private chapel. The award will be presented at a gala reception at the Harvard Club in Boston on April 27, 2019.
2019 Bulfinch Awards I was asked by Designer Bath/Salem Plumbing to be their guest blogger for February and spent a lovely hour in their Beverly Showroom with Showroom Sales Associate Annmarie Hrycaj reviewing my selections. My choices were made based upon my love of history and design but each were items I would like to have in my own home. My thanks to Beezee Honan for extending the offer and to Jason Sevinor, President of Designer Bath, for proving this opportunity to share my ideas. Please take a look at Designer Bath's Blog and see the lovely selections made by Boston Area Designers in previous months.
Designer Bath Blog Our Private Chapel project, completed in August of 2018, was featured in the inaugural issue of Boston Design Guide's Prelude. The magnificent photographs were taken by Warren Patterson on a lovely day in early October. Landscape Architect, Brian Frazier and I had a great time with Warren and the staff of the Boston Design Guide discussing the project amid the gardens.
